Finishing it all out we had to walk around and enjoy the lights.

The big addition to Silver Dollar City's Old Fashioned Christmas this
year was the Joy on Town Square tree.

The eighty foot tall tree is covered with several hundred thousand LED
lights that can be programmed to display whatever.

Every fifteen minutes or so the tree came to life with lights that can
be seen all over the park that are set to music. I have to geek
out at the programming that goes into displays like this. It would
be fun to play with synchronizing music and images to create a show like
this.

Unfortunately with every trip or weekend like this one it comes an end
and everyone has to say goodbye and head on home. This was such a
special year for me getting to further share what I do with not just
Bria and Aizak but Beth and Bob who all loved it. I should gloat a
little bit as for decades Beth made fun of me for being a coaster geek
but now she has seen how amazingly fun it is. I could give her
tons of ribbing but I won't as it wouldn't be in line with the spirit of
the Christmas season and I have so much fun with the four of them I want
to encourage them to join me for more events and adventures.
Thank you to Silver Dollar City for the amazing weekend and to everyone
who joined in all the fun. I can't wait for 2020 to do it all over
again.
