The American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Christmas event at Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri

This crazy contraption that is part of Wildfire's theming has always been a favorite of mine. It kind of goes back to one of the things that makes Silver Dollar City such a wonderful theme park. A piece of theming that is not easily visible isn't needed but what sets Silver Dollar City apart from some of the big chain theme parks is that they add these pieces all around the park anyway. It is the little touches that make the experiences at Silver Dollar City that much more memorable.

While I would have rather been able to ride Time Traveler over and over at least Outlaw Run, Thunderation, Powder Keg and Wildfire were able to operate through most of the day despite cold temperatures.

Wildfire; like the rest of Silver Dollar City, is just amazingly photogenic and wonderful to visually soak in.

One of Carrie and my favorite places at Silver Dollar City is on the Culinary Arts School's back porch.

It is the perfect place to grab a rocking chair, bask in the November sun and enjoy a nice warm caramel covered apple dumpling with cinnamon ice cream.
