Everyone who attended Coaster Christmas who was over 12 (due to it
being an active construction zone) got to take a look around the station
but thirty-six lucky golden ticket SWAG bag winners were taken all
through the station and down in the valley in the center of Time
Traveler's twisted layout. Before heading on down we got to take a
look around Time Travelers electrical systems area.
These rack are full of the computer and electrical systems that will
coordinate Time Traveler's station, block brakes, multiple launches and
everything else that goes into making a modern rollercoaster a safe but
thrilling ride.
The immense station building wasn't just for maintenance as a large
portion was set aside for its queue.
Hirschend Entertainment who owns Silver Dollar City likes to be able to
tell stories with the everything that goes into a ride including how you
get to it. Wild Fire's station tells the tale of a madcap 1880's
inventor and his quest to create a flying machine. Powder Keg
takes you through an explosives factory and Outlaw Run's queue sees you
through the office of a stagecoach company that is fighting outlaws.
Time Traveler is themed after a watchmaker who after the imaginative
writings of Jules Verne decides to dabble in time travel in order to
"dream big and do good".
Heading out of the station down the maintenance stairway to ground level
we were greeted with this stunning view of Time Traveler's finale.
