Now being one of Silver Dollar City's amazing festivals we had to experience some of it so we asked which show was the one not to miss.

All of the ladies in the Public Relations Department said not to miss The Willis Clan so as thunderstorms stormed down on Silver Dollar City Bond and myself lucked out in being the last people seated before the skies opened up with a downpour that could be heard over the music.

If you are like myself and had no idea as to who The Willis Clan are they are a family of musicians featuring 12 siblings from the age of 24 to 5.  They play traditional Irish music with a little bit of bluegrass, country and some rock influences thrown in.

I enjoy real music played by real musicians so even if some music is not my normal rock/punk/metal style I can still get into it.  I have to say that both Bond and myself we re amazingly impressed with The Willis Clan and that is before the power went out and they blew us away.  Remember how I mentioned a huge thunderstorm descending on us?  Well that storm about half the way through the show took out the lights briefly and took out the sound system completely.  Imagine you're a huge artist and the power goes out to your sound system and you are in the middle of a concert?  Kanye West would call it a show and walk off.  Did The Willis Clan?  Nope.  Being real performers "the show must go on" and it did.  They asked that we all be really quiet so that everyone could hear; minus Jeddidiah who plays an electric bass, the rest of them went acoustic for all of us making a great show even more memorable.  Even if their music is not your style I have to highly suggest catching The Willis Clan live if you get the chance.

Having missed the storm and been blown away by the show it was time to ride again.  So we headed to Outlaw Run where a nice wet coaster would be faster and more insane for us.
