Silver Dollar City

An Old Time Christmas
November 7 & 8, 2013
Page Fourteen
After two days at Silver Dollar City from open to close it was time
to head back up the hill and into the van to head back home.
Our plan was to ride as much as possible in order to finish up our year.
We ended up getting 3 laps on the Grand Exposition Coaster, 4 laps on Fire
in the Hole, 4 laps on the Giant Barn Swing, 11 laps on Thunderation, 20
laps on Wildfire, 33 on Powder Keg and 51 laps on Outlaw Run. Throw
in a few other rides and we ended up getting in 129 rides over two days.
That is just what we wanted.
My only complaint with Silver Dollar City is that it is impossible to get
out of the park when it is anything other than empty at the end of the day.
Still we had an amazing time finishing up our 2013 coaster season with a
jam packed two days of coaster riding with each other. I'm not planning
on getting a Silver Dollar City pass for 2014 because our travels will take
us in a different direction but I think we're going do like this year and
grab a couple of days for just the two of us at one of our favorite parks
on our favorite coaster.
Thanks to everyone who shared this year with us. We can't wait for
more adventures. Now we start counting down for 2014.
