As we left Silver Dollar City on Friday the forecast called for it to be
forty degrees when the park opened with a little rain. So we
were figuring the coasters would all be open and we'd get to spend Saturday
riding. As we pulled into the parking lot the temperature was thirty-three
degrees, there had been thunderstorm after thunderstorm moving through the
area, it was pouring and to top it all off it was sleeting. I told
Bond I kind of doubted we'd be riding much unless the weather got better
but being the trooper he is he put a smile on and we headed off to ride
whatever we could.
The weather didn't get any better as we entered Silver Dollar City.
So Bond and I scored a few ponchos in order to keep dry and headed out to
a park that had more employees than visitors.
There's a jail at Silver Dollar City just in case anyone gets out of
line.
After serving his time we headed on over to Fire In The Hole where we pretty
much had the coaster to ourselves for an hour.
