Journey to Atlantis has two lift sections and two large plunges into the water.  Between them there is a bit of coaster track that is tucked out of sight for a little bit of a surprise.



The interesting thing about Journey to Atlantis is the big drops don't get you soaked.



It is this little drop that gets riders; especially those in the front row, the wettest.



Journey to Atlantis was SeaWorld's big entry into adding thrill rides in Orlando.  Comparing it to the one in San Diego this one is worlds better.  The dark ride portion is really wonderful and really makes this an amazing ride.  Six years after this ride opened SeaWorld decided to add one to their San Diego park.  Unfortunately they left out the dark ride portion which really is the icing on the cake.



See I told you....this little drop delivers the goods at getting riders soaked.

Journey to Atlantis was #556 on my coaster count.  It is a great ride that is just about perfect.
