With the dark skies of night upon us the Boardwalk came to life as thousands of colored lights created a glow around the park.



Being surrounded by the flashing lights and spinning rides it is hard not to feel like a kid again.



Maybe it is an almost hypnotic effect making it easy to forget all of life's troubles and stress.



The night being broken by a world of flashing multicolored lights lets you for a hour or two leave being an adult behind and you'll find yourself running from ride to ride to get as much in before the day comes to a close.  This is the magic of a classic amusement park like the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.  This is why we need not just to protect these places but they need to be cherished.



The lights even have an affect on the cavemen from the Cave Train Adventure.
