Quassy Amusement Park, Middlebury, Connecticut

What is beautiful about such a small coaster like Wooden Warrior is that it shows that a ride does not have to have impressive stats to deliver world class airtime.

Wooden Warrior has just 1,200 feet of track.  Despite that short length it has more airtime than most hyper (200+ feet tall), giga (300+ feet tall) and strata (400+ feet tall) coasters.

I bet if someone kicked out a spreadsheet comparing coasters stats including length, height and moments of negative g forces Wooden Warrior would end up with the most airtime moments per foot of track than any other coaster.

Even though Bond and I only had a few hours at Quassy most of them were spent getting as many rides on Wooden Warrior as we could.

There is no bad seat on this ride but the two of us found ourselves heading to the back seat more than not.  Wooden Warrior is an amazing ride and a few of the bigger parks and chains would do themselves a service to venture to Quassy and see about adding one of these in their parks.  Wooden Warrior might not be an easy ride to market with marketing departments obsessed with huge stats but the quality of the ride would speak for itself and word of mouth would do what commercials and ad buys could not.
