There's a great airtime hill before you travel back under the parking
lot. Hades is one of my favorite coasters but it does have one massive
drawback. It desperately needs a second train. I mean it's a
long and very popular ride and the line can get extremely long and with
just one train that line just doesn't move. We were there on a not
so packed day and the wait was at least half an hour and at night during
the "Night at the Park" event it was an hour at least.
Have you ever wondered where gum comes from? It comes from a gum tree
like this one that grows right next to Zeus' queue.
The last time I was at Mount Olympus I really wanted to like Zeus.
I mean it's an airtime filled out and back, it should rock. But it
was so damn rough I got one ride and said that's enough. My hopes
were that it was going to have been fixed and running in top notch form
for this visit.
The first drop wasn't bad and the first airtime hill wasn't bad as well
so I was hoping the rest would be great but then came the pot holes in rapid
succession. We hit the brake run and Bond and I looked at each other
and said "done" and we never rode it again during our two day
visit.
The couple in the front row are letting Zeus know what they think of his
ride. What was funny was during the night time session at the park
people in Hades station were yelling at the few souls ignorant enough to
think about riding Zeus not to ride it. You know a coaster is too
damn rough when it's not just us coaster geeks warning people not to ride
it.
