After the not so great diversion
indoors it was time to get back to the real reason we went to Mt. Olympus...wood.
We had to wander around for
a little bit in order to find the entrance to Pegasus. It was
hidden by the entrance to Mt. Olympus' new up charge attraction, the
DUKW ride through the Dells.
Pegasus is a peppy junior coaster
that was added to Mt. Olympus in 1996.
I was extremely excited to
give Pegasus a ride but unfortunately we had to wait. You see
it's a hard life being a ride operator at Mt. Olympus as they actually
have to let people on the ride. You see the ride operator on Pegasus
took the "I hate this place, I hate these people" attitude
that every person (except for the one lady who smiled at us when we
paid for our gyros) at Mt. Olympus has and took it to the next level.
You see once a trainload of
people get into the station he lets them go then sits down for a five
minute break. It didn't matter that the station was full and getting
fuller by the minute. He needed to rest as it was hard work sitting
on the coasters console and reaching back to press the dispatch button
so while he sat we waited. Quality customer service all the way.
Outside of the super bad customer
service thankfully the only reason to go to Mt. Olympus, the wood coasters
like Pegasus; which is a hoot to ride saved the day.
