Off the soap box I completely fell in love with the belugas at Marineland.
They were extremely playful and you can see it in their eyes incredibly
intelligent they are.
They are also very expressive with their emotions and you could tell they
were thrilled to have a bunch of humans to play with.
The King Waldorf Stadium Show is basically a competition between the blue
and red teams with dolphins, seals and the belugas competing with their
trainers.
At the end of the show King Waldorf; a huge walrus comes out to applaud
the victors.
I have to say that I have a fondness for walruses. When I was a kid
up in Chicago we would make yearly visits to Brookfield Zoo. There
was a huge old walrus named "Olga" that almost everyone loved. She
enjoyed all of the attention and had a knack for understanding when someone
in the crowd didn't love and adore her and instead was making fun of her.
Normally it would be a few young men having a laugh over how large she was
and maybe there would be a statement on how she was uglu. Olga knew
very well what they were saying and made sure to completely soak just them.
One didn't offend Olga or you'd pay.
