The Avatar The Last Airbender Rollercoaster at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America, Bloomington, MN

Is it me or should Avatar be all blue?  Well it would fit in if it were themed to the James Cameron movie but this is themed to the cartoon which has "The Last Airbender" tacked onto the name I guess in order to make it different.  I don't know as I haven't seen that show.

Avatar is a Half Pipe coaster made by Intamin and like many of Intamin's newer coasters it has this restraint system.

Before you get on for the first time Avatar can be kind of intimidating as not only does it send you forwards and backwards but you spin as well.

This was our last new coaster of the day because it kind of freaked Bond out.  He was pretty unsure about it but the rule is that he has to try a ride and if he hates it then he doesn't have to ride it again.

As soon as we launched and started spinning all I could hear from Bond was laughs and screams of joy.  He loved it.

Actually both of us loved it.  I wasn't sure if I could take it not being able to handle spinning the greatest but since the spins were not powered but free spinning I was able to handle it just fine.
