After a full day at Valleyfair we headed to to Mall of America expecting
several hours at the park before everything closed. Unfortunately
due to the holiday weekend when we arrived we found out that the mall was
closed and the park would be closing in an hour. After getting our
wristbands we were quickly off to score our first coaster of the park being
Ripsaw.
Ripsaw opened with Mall of America in 1992. It's a nice family coaster
made by Zierer that winds winds all around the park.
It's hard not to look up at any point in the Park at Mall of America and
not see track from Ripsaw somewhere overhead. One thing that they
got right that Old Chicago didn't was the abundance of sky lights.
Yes we're indoors with a nice temperature but it's still nice to have the
sun on your face while speeding around over the rides, midway and something
else Old Chicago didn't have: trees.
Ripsaw is a fun coaster for the whole family. It's not too intense
and is just a fun ride around and through (it goes through the Log Flume
which is now my favorite log flume) the entire park.
