After heading through the gate and talking to an older employee who asked where we had been on this trip and then made a wise crack about how he used to head to Kemah for "Kemah-Therapy" we were on our way to knock out our first coaster of the day, Gauntlet.

We figured we'd hit Gauntlet first as chances are the coasters would only get better after we got this over with.

Vekoma Suspended Looping Coasters like Gauntlet are not known for being quality rides but these bolts on the lift platform did not make me feel any more confident or safe about it.

Well worst case scenario is the train would fly off the tracks due to the missing bolts and I'd die and Carrie and Bond would live comfortably after suing the pants off of Magic Springs so we might as well find out in the minute and a half it takes to traverse the 2,200 feet of track.
