Day two of our six day/seven park jaunt to Texas and back found us
in Hot Springs, Arkansas at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Water and
Theme Park.

I was here briefly once back
in 2007 and this was Bond's first visit so we grabbed a map and
figured out where to start having our fun.

We ended up just picking a direction and heading that way with the goal
of riding whatever we came to and seeing what there was to see.

Magic Springs has a interesting history. It first opened up in
1978 and after a few changes of ownership closed in 1995. It was
then bought out of foreclosure and eventually brought back to life in
2000 under the guidance of Ed Heart who had previously ran Kentucky
Kingdom before selling that park to Six Flags (he is back running that
park). To finish up the story of who owns and runs Magic Springs
present day it was sold to CNL Income Properties and they have PARC
Management manage the park.
Magic Springs is a really pretty park with lots of trees and wonderful
terrain but when I last visited it looked really ran down. It was
great seeing that the new management has been putting a lot into
dressing the park up.

I'm feeling a little Deep Purple here.
