The Matugani launched looping roller coaster at Lost Island Theme Park, Waterloo, Iowa

Matugani's top hat is a lot of fun because you get a pop of air when you hit the top, there is a second of peace, and then you plunge and twist ninety degrees at the same time.

Matugani resides in the area of Lost Island inhabited by the Yuta.

Matugani is a large snake that inhabited the Yuta's realm and was viewed as a menacing creature until it rescued the Yuta people from man made disasters. Since then the Yuta people view Matugani as a protector of their realm.

One of the things that I really like about Lost Island is they have created such an immersive back story to the park that not only do they have an app with all sorts of location based games, videos, and backstory that is triggered as you walk around the park but they created a language for the islands inhabitants.  If you want to see what the Yuta, Mura, Udara, and Awa people wrote around their lands Lost Island sells a dictionary in the gift shop to help guests decipher the texts.

After Matugani's one two punch of the launch followed up by the top hat you are ejected out of your seat as it shoots over a little airtime hill before being rocketed through a vertical loop.
