Volkanu the Quest for the Golden Idol at Lost Island Theme Park, Waterloo, Iowa

One of the surprises for those attending "ACE Gets Lost" was an after hours behind the scenes tour of Volkanu: The Quest for the Golden Idol.

While I really love Matugani, Amara Aviators, and other rides at Lost Island the most unique and amazing attraction at the park is Volkanu: The Quest for the Golden Idol.

Years ago the evil spirit Volkanu brought destruction to Lost Island including destroying the sky cities of the Udara. The people of Lost Island banded together to defeat Volkanu entrapping him deep inside of a Volcano. The Ora Tiki idol has kept Volkanu secured until today. With the Ora Tiki idol stolen it is up to you to get it back to once again secure Volkanu and bring peace to the lands of Lost Island.

The quest to bring back the Ora Tiki idol wont be easy as Volkanu's minions will be ready to battle you.

On your way through the queue the Shaman speaks and prepares you for the dangers to come. Outside of the birds of the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disney this is my favorite animatronic character. He moves so lifelike it is amazing.
