Listening to Eric who is the financial side of the pair, with
Molly being the creative force, he seemed to be a little nervous about
how the project will turn out. That's totally
understandable as at this point it is nothing but money going out with
none coming back in.
Their plans are for seven thousand guests a day and I don't think they
will have any trouble hitting those numbers especially with as many
people are within a couple of hundred miles. My only question is
will the public get artistically what Eric and Molly are trying to do
with a theme park as their canvass.
The canvass that is Lost Island Theme Park will not be complete as they
have space for a major addition in each of the themed lands.
So right now the rides at Lost Island are on schedule but as happens
with any large complicated project other parts of the park may not.
Having that uncertainty as to when the park will be ready to open as of
now they are not planning on offering season passes for the 2022 season.
It is understandable that not knowing when the park will open they don't
want to charge people a full price for a partial season. My hopes
are that they change their mind and just prorate the pass if they open
late. Also I want a season pass as from the looks of it and from
what we were told Lost Island Theme Park is really going to be something
unique and magical.
Here is Eric and Molly Bertch. They seemed a little unsure of the
attention and enthusiasm from everyone on the tour but even with
thousands of hours of work, putting their souls into the project and
putting a massive investment on the line they are really living the life
that all of us coaster enthusiasts dream about. I mean if I had
the wherewithal I'd be building a Mark Twain themed park in Hannibal
Missouri and here these two are really doing it.
If they pull this off Lost Island is really going to be a game changer
with interactive art and storytelling using a theme park just like how
Walt Disney took an amusement park and turned it into a theme park in
order to tell a story. Lost Island Theme Park is certainly on the
top of places I can't wait to visit in 2022 and it should be on your
list as well.
Start looking on how to get to Waterloo Iowa next year as Lost Island
Theme Park is going to be someplace special.
