Coasters like the Cannon Ball really have a place in my heart because it was not built to be a huge super mega thrill machine pushing the boundaries of what a body and mind can take. Instead it was built with one thing in mind...for fun and that's what it delivers.

The Cannon Ball was designed by John Allen of the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. He was really the first coaster designer to really do the math and work the physics to create a ride experience and his coasters really have a flow to them. Before him designs were pretty much done by trial and error and seem to me a bit haphazard.

Here comes the Cannon Ball diving down off of the turnaround. I'm not sure what's up with the guys in the front but both Bond and Paul are in the third row having a great ride.
