The Cannon Ball Rollercoaster at Lake Winnepesaukah, Rossville, Georgia

On Sunday August 29th we hopped into the car bright and early and took the four hour drive south to the Chattanooga area for a nice afternoon at Lake Winnepesaukah, or as most people call it Lake Winnie, with some great rides and great friends.

One day a year Lake Winnie has an event for members of ACE, The American Coaster Enthusiasts where they let us into the park for free and give us some exclusive ride time on their two adult coasters, the Wild Lightning mouse and the John Allen designed Cannon Ball rollercoaster.

Lake Winnie really shows what "southern hospitality" really is with their generosity.  Just a quick note my on ride photographs were taken with permission.

The Cannon Ball was added to lake Winnie back in 1967 and is really a fantastically fun coaster.

The Cannon Ball has two trains, one blue and one grey, paying homage to both sides of the Civil War that fought several battles nearby in the Chattanooga area.
