I would really love to hike up the mountain and show you how Boulder
Dash actually dives under boulders (sit on the right side for a close encounter
with a boulder) but I can't. Look closely though and you can glimpse
a hint of track and structure hidden in there.
I love coasters that follow the terrain. The top of my list of wooden
and steel coasters are terrain coasters
I am not sure if the reason I prefer them is the feeling of going at high
speed loosely following the contours of the earth in a natural kind of Feng
Shui way that does it for me.
If you don't know Feng Shui is the Chinese practice of harmonizing everyone
and structures with the natural environment.
Boulder Dash really is the "Feng Shui coaster" as there is a perfect harmony
between the ride and the environment around it. The mountain gives
the ride speed, the boulders dictate the course and the trees and boulders
and the close encounters with them make this perfection.
