Here is one last photo of Lake Compounce's wheel.
The one coaster we were unable to ride at Lake Compounce was their Kiddie
Coaster. The ride operator said that you needed a child to ride it,
which I told him I did as Bond is my child. In the end we were denied
because Bond isn't a small enough child for the ride.
The park was open until six and after four most of the school kids left
leaving Bond and myself with a practically empty park. Of course we
headed to Bolder Dash to finish up our day.
With no one in line the amazing ride operators at Boulder Dash just let
us keep our seat for lap after lap. There is no bad seat on Boulder
Dash but it really shines in the back seat and that is where Bond and I
camped out. I'm not sure how many laps we did in two hours because
we lost count after twenty but they were all memorable with my son by my
side.
Here is a little video of our day at lake Compounce.
As we entered the station after the last lap with Bond, a few stragglers
and myself still on it we gave the ride and everyone who has worked to run
and keep it as amazing as it is a round of applause.
Most parks have some sort of magical feel to me but places like Lake Compounce
have that in abundance and that is what makes me want to go back so much.
As you can see by the grin on Bond's face he feels the same.
