By this time my heavy free soft drink consumption had caught up with me too.



Our train ride was at the perfect time to see the last remaining rays of sunlight setting over Lake Compounce.



As you can see the rest of the park is a long, long way away.  When the water park is open in the daytime there is a boat ride that ferries people back and forth from that across the lake so that they can get wet as well on the rapids ride.



With night coming rapidly there was one place we had to go after getting off of the train...
