Moving on from the newest and biggest ride in the park let's take
a look at what else this classic park has to offer.
Bond was looking forward to taking Samurai for a ride but the sign at
the rides entrance explained that fresh parts were taking exceedingly
long from the manufacturer so it was not ready to open this season.
Samurai is one of those really sick European designed spinning rides
that twists, turns and spins you seventy-five different ways at once.
Not my cup of tea to say the least.
Lagoon has a classic Paratrooper ride along with a local classic
towering overhead.
The Rocket is a locally produced S&S combo tower ride. One side
shoots you up while the other tower takes you up slowly before launching
you down. Both variants are great fun and the views of Lagoon, the
Wasatch range and off in the distance the Great Salt Lake are stunning
when you are not screaming for your life.
One thing that I do like is that are fountains all over Lagoon.
The sight of fountains and the sound of the water splashing is relaxing
and helps make the park a great escape from the stress of the real world for a
day.
