Launching up the tower before freefalling is a heck of a wicked one-two punch.



Design wise it too much of a punch because after that start the rest of the ride is really kind of a letdown.



Despite the rest of the ride being lackluster good Lord that kick to the pants as you launch out and up and the peaceful second of breath at the top before the dive still makes for a great ride.  I mean it is basically a mini Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point.



Looking back had Wicked had a lift up the tower instead of the launch the rest of the ride would stand out more in my memory.



Wicked was added to Lagoon in 2007 and has 2050 feet of track.
