The Bat Roller Coaster at Lagoon Amusement Park, Farmington, Utah

Lagoon being a classic traditional amusement park has midways that meander all over the the place with rides hidden in the trees here and there.  The Bat is one of those rides that if you are not looking for it you might miss it.

The Bat, which was added to Lagoon in 2005 is a Vekoma designed and built Family Inverted Coaster.  I have been on a few of these rides at other parks and they are really fun little coasters.  It is not something to run to as soon as the ropes drop but hop on it for a ride and you will end up having a few laughs on the ride and end up with a smile on your face.

I know there is a large theme park in Ohio that keeps winning best kids area in the Golden Ticket Awards but Lagoon's Kiddieland blew Bond and myself away.  First off as a parent there is shade and seats everywhere for those of us who can't squeeze into the Baby Boats.

Secondly there are the cutest damn rides anywhere like the Ladybug Bop all around Lagoon's Kiddieland.

The Ladybug Bop and its companion ride the Dinosaur Drop are forty-foot kids drop rides that both rotate and drop multiple times.  Had Kiddieland not been packed Bond and I would have totally taken one of these two for a ride.
