The Ednor L'attaque rollercoaster at La Ronde, Montreal, Quebec

Don't those heavy head and neck braces on Ednor's over the shoulder restraints look comfortable?  At Least one of the many improvements to the ride that Vekoma made over the years of producing them were custom handles for you to grab on while riding as the early models just had various hand grips you'd pick up in a bicycle shop.  T-2 at Kentucky Kingdom used to have hand grips straight from my BMX bike that I got for Christmas back in 1981.

Kevin knows what's coming isn't going to be good but we ride them anyway, just once in order to add another coaster to our list of rides conquered.

Remember how I said that Ednor - L'Attaque was the parks newest ride but older than several of the parks other coasters?  What I meant there was that despite being new to La Ronde Ednor - L'Attaque had a previous life at another park.  Ednor - L'Attaque began as the Serial Thriller that ran at Six Flags Astroworld in Houston, Texas from 1999 until that park was closed and demolished in 2005.  It was dismantled and moved from Astroworld while many of that parks other (and better if you ask me) coasters were unfortunately cut up and sold for scrap metal.  A few other coasters from Astroworld survived but only Ednor - L'Attaque and two others are currently running at other parks.

Here is the bottom of the first drop of Ednor - L'Attaque.  Look at all of those smiling faces doesn't it look like they are having a fun and enjoyable time riding it?  No I didn't think so either.

Look at the legs of the riders.  The lead car's are thrown to the left while everyone else's legs are off to the right.  That illustrates my main problem with rides like these is that you have very rough transitions between elements.  I mean you have a very short section of track there, say maybe 15-20 feet and it is sending riders one direction then another at high speed.  While some jerking riders back and forth quickly can be good mixed in this rides uncomfortable restraints and it becomes painful and an unpleasant ride experience.
