This is one completely ridiculous, insane, crazy, ludicrous ride. Perilous Plunge is two things...insane airtime and the most intense shower you have ever had all rolled into one.
When the boats come over the lip of the drop if you're in the back you end up flying out of your seat. I'm not talking about a little airtime, I'm talking about being totally catapulted out of the seat air. Very cool! Matthew and I rode this twice in a row and Jeff Johnson said to Carrie "I bet Paul puts his arms down". Well Jeff, you bet wrong, but the second time through I did hold on with just one arm.
When you hit the water it feels like you're being blasted by a fire hose all over. You are just completely covered with water, very fun. I'm not a big water ride fan but this is just so fun I want one closer to me. Here's a hint...wear sandals and bring a spare change of clothes, you'll need it.
