It was so much fun to get to ride Montezooma's Revenge over and
over. It reminded me of when I lived in Houston for the last
couple years of high school in the late 1980's. Greezed Lightnin'
at Six Flags Astroworld was the same model as Montezooma's Revenge and I
used to visit on days when the park was empty where I'd just sit on it
for launch after launch. One Sunday I headed straight to Greezed
Lightnin' when the park opened at 10 AM and I stayed there on it until 6
PM when they closed. These Schwarzkopf shuttle loops
are so much fun you can do that. If you want to repeat my marathon
session I do want to warn you that you'll be feeling the loop's G forces
for a couple of days afterwards.
Next to Montezooma's Revenge is the Sierra Sidewinder coaster in Camp
Snoopy.
With all of the strollers parked around the sign one can correctly
deduce that Sierra Sidewinder is a family coaster. It is a
spinning coaster by Mack Rides that pretty much anyone can enjoy.
The Fiesta Village section of Knott's Berry Farm was the second themed
section of the park added in 1969. It was built to honor the
Mexican influence that Southern California has had.
Fiesta Village has a great collection of rides. Unfortunately the
two flat rides that were my favorite from my previous visit. The
Grand Slam was a perfectly placed Falling Star type ride that if you sat
on the far left side of the platform came so close to Jaguar's track
riders sitting there got a hell of a freight. The Tampico Tumbler
was a circular ride that gave amazing airtime.
