As we again walked past the North Pole John got the urge to "North
Pole dance". Yeah I know you are going to need a little eye bleach
after seeing that. Don't worry there are coaster pictures coming.
This was Draven and John's first visit to Knoebels so we made sure to set
them up in the best seat (first car third row) for their first Phoenix ride.
The Phoenix is heaven. If you don't love this coaster after taking
it for a ride then you really need to seek some counseling as it is fast,
fun, intense and full of some of the most fun airtime out there. If
I had to choose one coaster to ride for the rest of my life if it wasn't
this it would certainly be one of the last on my list and I'd be agonizing
over it.
After the Flying Turns and Phoenix it was time for lunch. Pictured
is Bond, Kate, Brittany, Adrianna, Paul, Chris, John and Draven. Corey
is on the far table and myself have spared you by remaining behind the lens.
One of the things we all sampled much at Knoebels was the birch beer.
It is a local variation on root beer that uses the root from birch trees.
Basically it tastes like a peppermint root beer and I wish I could get large
amounts of it here in Illinois.
After lunch it was time to take a ride on Black Diamond. This half
coaster/half classic dark ride is a lot of fun and tucked back in a corner
of Knoebels there was never a line for it.
