Impulse has four inversions squeezed into the narrow space between the Sky Ride, Knoebels Parkway and one of the park's picnic pavilions.

I have a particular fondness for any looping coaster with just a lap bar for restraints because you can put your hands up and just let go as your world turns upside down.

Being fond of Knoebels for all of the classic coasters and rides I have to admit that I really wasn't too pumped up about Impulse.

My thoughts were that it really wasn't going to fit in atmosphere wise but as much fun as the ride was it really is a perfect addition to the park.

The thing is any coaster geek armchair quarterbacking aside Impulse was a great addition because for those guests looking for a more modern coaster this is it and as with Whirlwind back when Knoebels added it in 1993 the public's perception is that a park needs a steel looping coaster to be considered "big".  In the end what is important is when Dick Knoebel looks at the books at the end of the season Impulse would have brought in more guests and made the park more profit to keep all of the classic rides going and maybe make it so they can add a few more to the collection.
