The Sky Slide at Knoebels began horizontally instead of vertically.
The rocket ship that the Sky Slide is built around began as a very primitive
trip to the moon simulator ride. Eventually the trip to the moon became
dated and Knoebels decided to recycle it and turn it into the Sky Slide.
There is a small staircase inside the rocket that takes you up to the slide.
Once on top you sit on your slide mat and get ready to spiral your way on
down the Sly Slide.
Kids and adults can all take the Sky Slide for a spin although you adult
riders the mats are a bit small so beware you might get little "slide
burn" if you are not careful.
I'm not a big fan of going around and around but at the bottom of the Sky
Slide it gets really fun as you shoot out onto a nice waxed surface before
eventually coming to a halt due to friction.
