The Racer is the coaster that put Kings Island on the map and showed the world that a wooden coaster could still draw the crowds and attention.

With a mix of thrills, speed, fun, and airtime The Racer is absolutely my favorite wooden racing coaster on the planet.

Plus unlike many "racing coasters" like The American Eagle at Six Flags Great America at Kings Island they actually race their racing coaster.

It really takes part of the thrill away when you don't have another train speeding next to you as you fly up and down hill after hill.
