A spin on the Grand Carousel is a must during a visit to Kings Island.



The Grand Carousel is by far the oldest ride in the park as it opened at Kings Island's predecessor, Coney Island back in 1926.



Classic carousels with each horse individually crafted by the hands of a master carver have so much artistry and uniqueness.



The Grand Carousel was made by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company and was the 79th carousel produced by that firm.



You can always spot a carousel that was designed by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company as they would put shields on some of the horses with the companies initials on them.  That makes me smile because I really like it when a company takes enough pride in the work they do where they make sure everyone knows who created it.
