The reason for the debate is that  proper giga coaster is over 300 feet tall.  Orion's lift is only two hundred and eighty-seven feet tall.

While Orion's drop is actually three hundred feet exactly due to the hilly terrain that it is built on.

I'm in the camp that it is a giga and if you disagree with me no big deal as no matter what it is classified as Orion is a fun coaster.

Accelerating down Orion's three hundred foot drop up to ninety-one miles an hour is a total joy.

Like Orion's little brother Diamondback across the park they kept the drop nice and simple without any turns to give riders the opportunity to enjoy the massive plunge.
