The new for 2017 Mystic Timbers Wooden Rollercoaster at Kings Island, Kings island, Ohio

So #whatsintheshed?  No we are not going to talk about it just yet but don't worry there one more page before the secret is revealed.  Like any good Scooby-Doo episode you've got to wait until three minutes before the episode is over to pull the mask off the villain exposing the old man who used to run the amusement park as the real person behind the monster.

White Water Canyon isn't the only ride that Mystic Timbers wraps around.  The Kings Island & Miami Valley Railroad was up and running for the media day although it had no riders.  I think like many rides in the park it was testing in the lead up to the parks 2017 season open.

As with most Media Days there is always a little break in the middle of all of the coaster riding for a few introductions and speeches.

I'm not one for speeches, ribbon cutting or shows for the media but it is nice hearing about the creative process that went into the development of this ride.

It was great hearing from Kings Island's Vice President and General Manager Mike Koontz about the why and how Cedar Fair, Great Coasters International, Skyline Attractions and Holovis came up with the ride experience that they did.
