Being ferried in the back of
a stretch limousine would have been a nice ending but when it was all
over I enjoyed walking to the front of the park with the sounds of silence
all around me. It was relaxing.
Thank you very much to Jeffrey
Siebert, Maureen Kaiser and everyone else at Paramount's Kings Island
for the fantastic day. The Italian Job Stunt Track gets two thumbs
up from me and is a must ride if you haven't already.
We weren't ready to head back
to Indiana just yet. First we had to make an excursion to by far
the coolest grocery store ever; Jungle Jim's International Food
Market which is home of the old monorail from Paramount's Kings Island.
Driving down the road it's
kind of hard to miss Jungle Jim's as for now they are using the old
monorail from Kings Island as a sign.
When this monorail was at Kings
Island (pre-Paramount days) it ran through the old wild animal preserve
which was in the area behind the Son of Beast and Top Gun. Unfortunately
back then it ran at ground level which kind of takes away from the monorail
experience.
