Paramount's Kings Island

Bond really wanted to ride
a few more rides but the park was insanely packed by this time of day
due to Paramount's Kings Island pretty much giving tons of free tickets
away.
The Wild Thorneberries River
Adventure is your standard log flume that was designed by Arrow Dynamics
in the 1970's. By the late 1990's it needed work so Paramount's
Kings Island hired OH Hopkins to rebuild the ride.
Along with the rebuild came
a new name and tons of theming to Nickelodeon's Wild Thorneberries cartoon.
Bond thought it looked pretty cool but with the cool temperatures that
were getting colder as the day progressed there's no way I'd go for
a ride on it today.
The Vortex looks fantastic
by the light of the setting sun. One thing about Paramount's Kings
Island is that they really take care to make sure their rides look great.
There are no coasters built over old parking lots. Once you're
in the gate you are in another world and really that's the way a good
theme park should be.
Bond was in a silly mood while
I was grabbing Vortex photos. It was so nice being able to get
out and have fun with him at a park. He's not the biggest rider
but he at least loves spending time at amusement parks and discovering
what they have.
