As you can tell from this side shot of the drop that it's one monster drop.  There was some problems with the roughness of the ride when it first opened but PKI has really spent some serious time smoothing it out.



Not only does Son of Beast have a long drop but it's one of the steepest on a wooden coaster.



You really fly up into Son of Beast's second hill.



At the top of the second hill you have a second to catch your breath from the first drop before plunging into the insane helix.



After your brief pause it's time to get crazy as the Son of Beast dives into the first helix.
