Each hill on Racer 75 would send you flying up into the lap bar
and by the time you got back into the station it was a no brainer to
take it for another lap.
I had so much fun on Racer 75 that I was really looking forward to
being able to enjoy the ride with two trainloads of coaster enthusiasts
as our final night time ERT at Kings Dominion was set to be on Racer 75.
As ERT neared and there was just a few minutes before the park closed
Amanda and I decided to go and take Delirium for a ride. We never
got on it. Between snapping this photo and walking over to the
ride the sky once again opened up and we had another thunderstorm to
deal with.
After taking shelter in the Juke Box Diner for an hour while wave after
wave of downpour swept over us and the sky was filled with lightning the
dream of having a ACE member filled night time Racer 75 was dashed.
Mother Nature decided to overrule our night time ERT and sadly it was
time to bid farewell to this wonderful park.
Kings Dominion is such a charming park that even a storm can't make it
look less appealing.
We had a wonderful time at Kings Dominion and one of these years I am
going to get back here not just for the coasters and the atmosphere but
I want to get back with a couple of trainloads of ACE members to ride
the night away on Racer 75.
Thank you to everyone at Kings Dominion for such a wonderful time.
