The Anaconda Roller Coaster - The American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 41 at Kings Dominion, Doswell, Virginia

Anaconda sits on the site that used to hold a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop named King Cobra that ran at the park from 1977 to 1986 before being moved around to various parks including Alton Towers in England and finally down to Brazil where it thrills riders today.

The second half of Anaconda consists of several coiling helices that Kings Dominion's public relations department billed as "loops" when the ride opened.

You could say that Anaconda has six "loops" but in reality it only has four inversions with the vertical loop. sidewinder and finishing it all off with a corkscrew over the lake.

Hey it's Mike!

Everywhere you turned at Coaster Con there were old and new friends and even when Carrie was back at the hotel taking a break from the heat and I was off to the park alone I was still surrounded by friends.
