A Farewell To Kiddieland

After getting wet on the Log Jammer Bond and I had to start working
our way out as we had dinner with my parents then a long ride home for work
and school the next day. As we headed to our final ride Bond asked
for one more ride on the Roto Whip. "One more ride" is something
that I heard around me all day long from kids, parents and grandparents.
Everyone wanted one more ride, one more memory, one more part of the magic
that was Kiddieland to take with threm.
Inside the park there were no frowns, there were no tears just smiles on
faces and laughter coming from between their liips.
I heard time and time again people telling their children and grandchildren
about their first ride on the carousel, train or Little Dipper. Then
after telling about their first time they went and took their children and
grandchildren for their first ride.
Kiddieland has been a tradition for some for over three generations
and as we started to head out the question came to me where will these kids
take their children and grandchildren? Where will they share such
a wonderful experience?
