Kentucky Kingdom Theme Park, Louisville, Kentucky

Wanting to go check out the rest of the park it was time to head across what used to be the only way to the back of the park...the bridge.  Back in the day can you imagine the congestion of everyone at the park having to squeeze into this walkway with people coming and going.  It was a serious mess.

Arriving at the back of the park it was a little weird not seeing Chang or T2 towering over Kentucky Kingdom's Hurricane Bay water park.

The Giant Wheel was still here but it wasn't quite up and running after a pretty serious refurbishment over the off season.

Where Ed Heart placed the Kentucky Flyer makes absolutely no sense.  Walking down the midway on the path that I thought headed to the Kentucky Flyer I ended up at a locked gate.  It turns out there was a little hidden path that I had to backtrack to get to in order to get to the Flyer.

What's weird is that Ed Heart placed the Kentucky Flyer way out behind the water park nowhere the rest of the rides.  You have to take a hike to get to it.  If this was a park built using Rollercoaster Tycoon he would have gotten messages like "Guest 315 can't find a path to the Kentucky Flyer".  Honestly as small as the Kentucky Flyer is, and that the structure is made out of steel one day it will get moved to a more logical location in the park.
