Kennywood is the only park that I can think of that have taken two
beloved coasters and turned them into masterpieces.

After plunging once again into the ravine, Thunderbolt sends you up the
other side.

The first time I heard about Kennywood was back in the mid 1980's in a
edition of Popular Mechanics that discussed the Thunderbolt.

That article described the Thunderbolt as a coaster built in reverse as
the largest drop is its final one into the ravine.

With an all night long drive back to Illinois ahead of us eventually we
had to finish up our absolutely perfect day at Kennywood. Bond and
Travis scored the last ride of the trip on Kennywood's best ride The
Thunderbolt.

This day at Kennywood with Bond and Travis was the most perfect day that
I have had at a park anges. The rain that threatened most of
the weekend held off until we headed out. We got to ride all of
the coasters at Kennywood over and over. Most important of all I
had a wonderful day with the boys.
The hard part now is figuring out when to get back to Kennywood for
more.
