Here is one more reason to visit Kennywood...the Turtle ride!

The Turtle at Kennywood is the sole remaining full sized Tumble Bug ride
that was designed by coaster designer Harry Traver.

The Turtle has been thrilling Kennywood guests since 1927 and it is
still going strong. The ride is simple. Climb onto the
back of one of the turtles where there is a circular seating area.
All there is holding you in is a chain across the cars entrance and
gravity.

Once the ride operator starts the ride, the train of turtles start to go
back and forth until they have enough speed to make it over one of the
hills along its circular course.

The Turtle picks up speed and you get sent around around over it's
undulating track. While going up and over the hills you'll slide
back and forth on the rides smooth metal seats sending you bumping into
your fellow riders. The Turtle is not a high thrill ride but it is
a high fun ride that is worthy of many rerides.
