In a space that for years was
Kennywood's parking lot is Lost Kennywood, a section themed to classic
amusement parks of the early 20th century.
Kennywood pays homage to classic
parks by taking the fanciful architecture of the old Luna Parks that
once dotted the land and recreated it for us today.
In the central lagoon of Lost
Kennywood sits the Pittsburgh Plunge.
The Pittsburgh Plunge is a
modern version of the classic "Shoot The Chutes" rides that
were at parks like Coney Island or Chicago's Riverview Park.
You got a little bit wet on
the original "Shoot The Chutes" but you get completely soaked
on the Pittsburgh Plunge.
