Kennywood in addition to having
three classic coasters has a great Dentzel carousel. It just looks
perfect sitting there under the trees doesn't it?
Carousel horses are nice but I really
like a carousel that has more variety in it's animals. Here's
a great Lion that you can ride.
Of course a carousel just wouldn't
be a carousel without a horse! I believe that this horse was specially
restored for Kennywood's 100th season in 1998. If anything it's
a beautiful work of art.
This is one of the few Bayurn Curve
rides. Created by Anton Schwarzkopf who is better known for his
steel coasters (Whizzer @ Six Flags Great America, Texas Tornado @ Six
Flags Astroworld, Shockwave @ Six Flags Over Texas to name a few).
It's a spinning ride where cars that look allot like coasters and have
motors spin around on a circular track. You'll know when this
ride is going as it has a great horn that blares out when the ride gets
up to speed.
This is the last of it's kind...Noah's
Ark. These walk through attractions used to be all around the
world at the beginning of the last century and now Kennywood's is the
last. Basically you walk through the ark (which rocks) and go
through different scenes with different gags that happen to you.
Hit this ride...the final scene is more than work the wait.
