Heading into Holiday World for another HoliWood Nights event is like
heading to gran
dma's house for a nice big Christmas dinner.

The exception is that this is in May instead of December so it is hot
outside instead of cold .

Another difference from Christmas is we are not celebrating with our
biological family...instead we are celebrating a joyous time (a weekend
at one of the best parks out there) with our coaster family.

Bond dropped me off at Holiday World late in the afternoon because he
had to head on down to pick up someone important. For a couple of
years he has been dating a girl named Charlotte that he went to school
with when we lived down the block from Holiday World. Bond was
really looking forward to introducing her to his coaster family and
another pretty momentous occasion that I will talk about later.
Being ditched for a while I headed down into the park I used to call
home to take a look at how everything looked this year. It was
interesting to see a couple of the Pilgrim's Plunge boats sitting
outside of the station. I'm not sure if anything is happening with
the ride but it would be nice if something happened to this ride.

Kicking off HoliWood Nights is always a little get together where
everyone is welcomed in the Hoosier Celebration Theater. There has
been a long tradition of a big song and dance routine worked into the
coaster enthusiast events at Holiday World from a breathtaking rendition
of Hallelujah Chorus (with many mentions of airtime worked in) to "Ride
All Night", a parody of "I'm All Right" from the movie Caddyshack (this
years HoliWood Nights was themed to that movie) performed by Holiday
Worlds Lauren and Leah.
