The Raven and Legend were the best ever but we were treated to even
more amazing rides on The Voyage. You see The Voyage heads north out
of the park. About fifteen miles north there was an extremely high
storm that was throwing lightening from cloud to cloud just lightening up
the whole place. It was amazing to ride and look up and see clear
sky and off ahead of you Mother Nature's grandest fireworks. With
The Voyage as fast as ever and the view we just couldn't get off.
Bond and I rode then we'd run down and back up to do it again. I thought
we had had our last ride and as we pulled into the brake run he looked at
me and said "Dad can we have just one more". Yes as a coaster
enthusiuast my eyes welled up with a little bit of tears and I said of course.
As soon as the train stopped and our restraints released we were off and
running hald the way down the ramp we passed the ride operator who was on
her way down to close off the gate, Bond let out a cheer and then we were
back up in the station for one more. It was just a feeling that I
really can't describe adequately in words. All I can say is that he's
my boy and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world, even The Voyage.
I swear Jennifer was stalking me during my two days at Holiday World.
It seems that every time I turned there she was. Being a stalker still
she's an awesome ride operator.
As we headed out we ran into Paula Werne. I really wanted a chance
to visit Paula but with hundreds on enthusiasts there it's hard to get her,
Mrs. Koch's or Will's time as they're always surrounded by people who want
to talk. Still we talked for a few then I gave her a hug before heading
out until next year.
Remember on Sesame Street the ole "One of these things is not like
the other ones" game well let's see if you can guess it here?
If you said that Mike doesn't have the proper attire on (a coaster shirt)
you'd be correct. He's still new to this so we're working on him.
Thank you to Mike , Nick, Brian, Corey and Bond for all of the fun as well
as everyone else at Holiday World for having us. It's a few weeks
after getting back that I'm writing this and Bond keeps asking "When
are we going back to Holiday World" so we'll be back next year.
